Dover Middle School Extension

Project Overview

Modern Steel Construction Corp. was selected as the structural steel and miscellaneous metals subcontractor for the Dover Middle School building extension project in Dover, New York.

Our scope included the complete fabrication and installation of all structural steel for the new building addition, as well as all miscellaneous metals throughout the project — including stairs, railings, lintels, beam pockets, and specialty items.

Working on an occupied school campus required careful planning and coordination with the school administration, general contractor, and other trades to ensure student safety at all times and to minimize disruption to daily school operations.

All steel work was fabricated in accordance with the structural engineer’s specifications and NYS Education Department building requirements, and the project was completed on schedule.
